STANDARD BUSINESS SPONSORSHIP FOR THE TSS VISA

In order to sponsor employees for TSS 482 visas, most businesses need to be approved as a Standard Business Sponsor.
STANDARD BUSINESS SPONSORSHIP REQUIREMENTS	There are several significant obstacles to overcome in order to acquire this approval: There is a legally recognized business structure in place, such as a corporation, trust, partnership, or registered business name; and Financially, the company must be in good shape. The company must be operating legally.
SPONSORSHIP PERIOD OF VALIDITY	Sponsorship permission is usually valid for 5 years after it is acquired. There are, however, a few exceptions to this rule: Business Sponsorship Approval, as well as any TSS visas awarded, will be valid for a maximum of 12 months if a company has been in operation for less than 12 months. Sponsors with a substantial amount of business might apply to become certified sponsors. The sponsorship is valid for a period of six years in this circumstance.
LIMITATION ON NUMBER OF SPONSORED EMPLOYEES	Employers must identify how many employees they would sponsor during the sponsorship’s validity beginning in July 2018. The planned number of employees must be justified, and the Department of Home Affairs has the authority to stipulate a lower number of sponsorships if it believes it is necessary. Once the maximum has been reached, the employer must apply for a sponsorship variation in order to sponsor more employees.
