- Be nominated by an eligible individual or organization with a reputation in the same field.
Income and Qualification Criteria
- Have a job offer with an annual income meeting the High-Income Threshold (currently $153,600).
- Hold current employment with income meeting the threshold.
- Recently graduated with a PhD in a target sector as a high-performing student.

Nominator Requirements
Nominators must be:
- An Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
- An Australian organization with a national reputation in the applicant’s field.
Nominators should endorse the applicant's achievements and international standing. They must explain how the applicant will contribute to the Australian community and secure employment.
How to Apply
Step 1: Submit an Expression of Interest (EOI)
- Submit an EOI through the Global Talent contact form.
- Provide documentation demonstrating your eligibility (e.g., professional achievements, income threshold, academic qualifications).
Step 2: Apply for the Subclass 858 Visa
- Upon receiving a unique identifier, use it to apply for the Subclass 858 visa.
- Ensure all health and character requirements are satisfied.
