• Offshore Application: You must apply and receive the visa decision while outside of Australia.

• Age Requirement: Be 18 years or older at the time of applying.
  • If your partner is under 18, the sponsor must be the partner’s parent or guardian, who must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or eligible New Zealand citizen.
• Health and Character: Meet all health and character standards.
• Financial Responsibility: Clear any outstanding debts to the Australian Government.

For Partner (Migrant) Visa (Subclass 100)

• Temporary Partner Visa Holder: You must hold a Subclass 309 Visa.
• Continuing Relationship: Maintain your marriage or de facto relationship, except under special circumstances.
• Law Compliance: Comply with all Australian laws and the conditions of your 309 visa.

Health and Character Requirements

• Health Examinations: Complete medical checks within 12 months before applying.
• Police Clearance: Provide police certificates for any country where you’ve lived for 12 months or more in the last 10 years.

Responsibilities of Sponsors

• Housing: Provide suitable accommodation for the visa holder.
• Financial Support: Cover living costs and, if necessary, English language training.
• Childcare and Other Support: As needed, including assistance with dependents.

Family Members in the Visa Application

Dependent children or stepchildren can be included in the visa application.
