2. Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) Update
- Effective Date: July 1, 2024
- New TSMIT: AUD 73,150 (previously AUD 70,000)
3. Skills in Demand (SID) Visa Introduction
- Launched On: December 7, 2024
The Skills in Demand (SID) visa aims to attract both core and specialist skills. It includes two key salary thresholds:
- Core Skills Income Threshold: AUD 73,150 – applicable to SID (Core Skills stream) and ENS (TRT and Direct Entry streams)
- Specialist Skills Income Threshold: AUD 135,000 – applicable to SID (Specialist Skills stream)
4. Threshold Adjustments for July 1, 2025
- Core Skills Income Threshold: AUD 76,515 (up from AUD 73,150)
- Specialist Skills Income Threshold: AUD 141,210 (up from AUD 135,000)
5. Superannuation Contributions Increase
- Effective Date: July 1, 2025
- New Rate: Increasing from 11.5% to 12%
6. Regional TSMIT Announcement
